Genshin Impact version 1.4 celebrates love and life with the Windblume Festival – PlayStation.Blog
Greetings, travelers! The Genshin Impact development team is back with some exciting news and a preview of the game’s upcoming 1.4 update, which launches March 17th. We hope you all had a wonderful time exploring and participating in Liyue Harbor’s Lantern Rite. As the cold of winter subsides in Teyvat to make way for spring, we’d like to give a glimpse into a traditional annual festival in Mondstadt – the Windflower Festival. As the beauty of spring fills the city, we hope that everyone and the citizens of Mondstadt celebrate a hearty festival of freedom and life.
All travelers who are on Adventure Rank 20 or higher and have completed the Archon Quest “A Song of the Dragon and Freedom” are invited to the warm celebration of the Windflower Festival. During the festival there are numerous mini-games with tons of rewards and prizes. Players even have a very special opportunity to hang out with Barbara, Noelle, Bennett, and Chongyun. Depending on the selection and interaction with the individual characters, they can experience different endings and memories.
A time for special memories
As swirling dandelions begin to fill the warm spring air, the lunar townspeople gather to celebrate the Windflower Festival. The origins of the festival go back to the liberation of Lunar City two thousand six hundred years ago.
However, as the traditions of the Windflower Festival were passed down through the generations, the festival has gradually become a cultural celebration of romance and passion. Couples and love birds will take advantage of the opportunity to have a good time together, and Moon City locals often recommend Cape Oath as the perfect place to share your feelings and take romantic vows. During this time of love and freedom, travelers also have the unique opportunity to spend a special time with Barbara, Noelle, Bennett and Chongyun. Decisions and interactions players make with characters can result in different endings, with each actual ending giving players a hangout memory illustration.
Festive challenges await you
In preparation for this year’s celebrations, the Knights of Favonius and the Adventurers’ Guild have put together the most festive mini-games the city has ever seen. A wide variety of activities await both travelers and lunar townspeople. Most Windflower mini-games support both single player and co-op modes. Whether you are playing alone, with a group of friends, or with that special someone, the games are sure to leave fun and lasting memories for everyone who takes part.
This year the Knights of Favonius organized three primary mini-games: Bullseye Balloons, Floral Freefall, and Ballads of Breeze. Each mini-game has four different levels of difficulty to test your archery, sliding and ballad skills. By completing the mini-games, players will receive rewards and a certain number of festival tickets (rewards for the mini-games can only be claimed once in single player mode). The Festive Tour tickets can be exchanged in the Event Shop for numerous Talent Level-Up materials as well as two new exclusive gadgets: the Windblume Festival Commemorative Balloon and the Windsong Lyre.
If a tougher challenge is what you’re looking for, you can try the special wonderland – a special domain recently discovered and renovated by the Adventurers’ Guild as a festival event. Unlike the other event mini-games, Peculiar Wonderland is a series of challenges that will demand both the mind and muscles of even the most seasoned adventurer. When entering the special wonderland, players are faced with three random challenge scenarios. Depending on how well they perform on the Random Challenges, players will receive buffs that they can use in a final boss fight. By completing the special wonderland, players will receive special collab vouchers that can be exchanged for weapon advancement materials and a brand new 4-star bow, the Windflower Ode.
All this and much more awaits players in version 1.4. We leave it up to you to explore and discover everything the Windblume Festival has to offer.
Continue your journey along Dainsleif and Rosaria
In addition to all of the events in the upcoming update, the Traveler will continue his story as he further investigates the Abyss Order with Dainsleif, the “Branch Guardian”. As the story unfolds, players find themselves in an entirely new domain where they discover an unclean statue of the Seven and encounter a powerful new enemy – an Abyss Herald. Eventually, players will begin to uncover the secrets behind Teyvat’s first ruin guard in Stormterror’s Lair.
In version 1.4 we will add Rosaria “Thorny Benevolence” as a new playable 4-star character. Rosaria is a sister of the Church of Favonius, whom players may have met during their adventures with Albedo in Dragonspine. Wearing cryo-vision, Rosaria is a powerful polearm holder with an elemental ability that allows her to instantly move behind her enemy, pierce and cut them to cause cryo-damage. Her Elemental Burst allows her to attack with a powerful slash that deals massive cryo-damage and summons a cold ice lance that continuously deals cryo-damage to nearby enemies.
Last but not least, we would like to introduce some adjustments and optimizations in version 1.4 that will enable travelers to experience a more fun and enjoyable journey. Firstly, since the limit for original resins was previously increased from 120 to 160, travelers can keep up to five condensed resins in their inventory with the update to version 1.4. In addition, the new version offers travelers the opportunity to lower their world level to better meet their needs in single player and co-op mode.
That’s almost all we have to share about Genshin Impact version 1.4. We hope everyone has a fun and memorable time celebrating the Windflower Festival.
