Apex Legends hits record Steam player count with 198,235 concurrents
In the eighth season of Apex Legends, the player population of the two-year Battle Royale has increased. In February around 70,000 players were simultaneously on Steam than in the previous month. Towards the end of February, SteamDB had a record 198,235 players.
That’s five days after the end of the two-year anniversary collection. Season 8 certainly seems to have thrown a spanner in the works, be it due to Caustic seeing a resurgence and other changes in the rankings, or the arrival of the new Legend Fuse or the return of the popular King’s Canyon map (with some Improvements) or some alchemical combination of other changes.
After arriving on Steam in November 2020, Apex Legends cemented its position in the platform’s top 10 games. If you’re thinking of getting into that, or need a few tips, here is our Apex Legends Character Guide.
