The Xbox community meets Coach, the mascot of MLB The Show who happens to be a puppet. The coach knows baseball and everyone’s favorite MLB players. We will be releasing new videos by Coach and Fernando Tatis Jr. showing the functions of MLB The Show 21 before the start. These fun videos will give you some vital information about various game improvements that lead to more detailed and forward-looking (next-gen) revelations.

For those in the community looking for a deeper dive into improvements and new features for MLB The Show this year, we have no fear – we have plenty of content on the horizon for you.

Tailored and focused gameplay

Are you new to the show Welcome to the party. So you want to learn about the gameplay? We got you covered. New to MLB The Show 21 are play styles that allow you to customize the type of gaming experience you’re looking for at any given time. Are you looking for a casual experience where you can do some runs? Or are you looking for a more traditional experience that is more intense and lively? You might want a real test of your skills on the sticks, where your skills with the controller are of the utmost importance.

Customized gameplay is just the tip of the iceberg. The team has invested a lot of development time in other areas of the gameplay – our main focus is on fly ball catches, on the wall catches (jumping / reaching / robbing home runs, falling into the wall, etc.) and the coming catches off the Z axis (if you taking a route that is not exactly perfect) we have a lot of new catches that you see off the axis that you are currently playing. It feels great and we can’t wait for everyone to try it out. We’ve introduced a brand new pitching mechanic … but more on that and the other gameplay improvements in March.

MLB The Show 21 Feature premieres

This year we’ll be rolling out feature premieres that will air simultaneously on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook Live. Much like our livestreams in previous years, Feature Premieres will provide an in-depth look at the new features and changes we’ve been working on to make this year’s game better than its predecessor. Delete your afternoon plans on Thursday afternoon, as a new feature Premiers will air every Thursday at 3:00 p.m. on March 11, 2021.

Feature premier schedule

  • Customized gameplay, pinpoint pitching and hitting engine updates
  • Complete Fielding Overall (yes, we’re specifically talking about games on the wall)
  • Introduction to the ball player, more variety and play options and ever before
  • Franchise and March through October allow you to make decisions about the future
  • MLB The Show Goes Next Gen.
  • The Diamond Dynasty was streamlined with new ways of reward
